Powder Horn is a superb skills resource course designed for leaders in Venturing and Boy Scouting including youth (age 14 and up). Powder Horn is also described as a "hands-on resource management course" designed to give Scouting leaders "the contacts and tools necessary to conduct an awesome high-adventure program" in their Scouting unit. Powder Horn helps leaders to safely conduct fun and challenging outdoor activities

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

Knowledge of the health and safety requirements, rules and regulations of the Boy Scouts of America as they apply to outdoor programs, introduction to the skills and resources necessary to operate a successful  outdoor program.
